How to take care of my JR

To extend the life of your Jéssica Raupp Leather Bag, follow the tips below.
  1. Friction: Be careful with sharp objects and rough surfaces. Leather doesn't peel like synthetic materials, but friction with rough surfaces can remove its surface layer, exposing the underlying layer.
  2. Adhesive tape: Do not place any type of adhesive tape on the surface of the product, as it can remove the surface layer of the leather, leaving an unwanted mark.
  3. Sun exposure: Avoid prolonged exposure to the sun or any source of extreme heat, the heat can “burn” the leather, changing its color and feel.
  4. Moisture protection: Leather should not get wet. Contact with water and excessive humidity causes irreversible damage to its original characteristics. Protect your bag from rain or other sources of moisture, and if it gets wet, let it dry in the shade.
  5. Chemicals: Irreparable damage to the product's leather color can be caused by ink from pens or other fabrics, hand sanitizer, and other chemical, abrasive, and organic substances. Be extra careful with dark clothing that bleeds dye when in contact with light-colored leather.
  6. Storage: Do not store leather items in plastic bags. Lack of ventilation can cause discoloration and mold. To store and transport your product, keep it in our dust bag.
  7. Handling: Store your pieces in your love box and never stack them. Leather molds to the way it is stored and used; this care, as well as handling the piece as it is used, will help maintain its original shape, increasing its longevity.
  8. Proper cleaning: Light stains and everyday dirt, such as makeup and dust, can be removed with a slightly damp cloth and mild bar soap. Rinse with a damp cloth and water, then dry in the shade. Moisturize with liquid petroleum jelly (available at any drugstore) and let dry in the shade. This process can be repeated as needed, and we recommend doing it at least three times a year. Never use cleaning fluids unsuitable for leather, detergents, cooking or body oils, body or facial moisturizers, or alcohol. To maintain uniform color, you must perform the procedure on the entire area. And remember, before applying any method, test it on an inconspicuous area of the item. Important! Your bag should be cleaned periodically; leaving dirt on your product for long periods may make removal impossible.
  9. Seek professional help: In case of stains or deep dirt, seek out professionals who specialize in cleaning leather goods.
